A national consultation on the developing Steel Pan in Saint Lucia was held at the Cultural Development Foundation on Saturday 3rd November, 2012. Discussions on the state of steel pan by the eleven (11) groups participating were remarkably consistent. The discussions suggested that although the Steel Pan groups are ready to forge ahead, lack of cohesion, support and professional development opportunities hinder the growth of Steel Pan and Steel Pan groups island-wide.
