Dennery Carnival Committee - 'Mad Again'

This afternoon luciancarnival.com got an email from a member of the Dennery Carnival Committee asking that their Official Launch scheduled for Sunday June 15, 2008 be included on the Carnival calendar. No problem. I could do that, in fact the activity had already been listed. The gentleman also informed me that the launch would take the form of a block party on High Street with appearances by Ashanti, Ilah Man and Frost (The Viking) among others. I was duly impressed. By now you would have guessed that I love new ideas and having a launch as a block party is definitely original.

The gentleman promised to send me a flyer to put up on the site as well. Normally we do not do flyers but I thought that I could make the exception in this case to help promote the community carnival. Once I saw the flyer I had to write this article. Let me tell you…originality for so. No point trying to explain it to you. The disclaimer that came at the end of the flyer speaks for itself.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE BOOTHS OF THE BANDS TRYING TO RAISE FUNDS TO MAKE THE PARADE A SPECIAL ONE. ANYONE NOT SUPPORTING THE BOOTHS OF A BAND AND SOURCING ITEMS ELSEWHERE SHALL BE DEEMED UNCOOL.
